WHAT IS FERMENTATION?

WHY IS FERMENTATION IMPORTANT

Pure+ k-ViA the Kombucha Vinegar utilizes the fermentation process to preserve food, salad dressings and preserves longer than traditional vinegars will conduct.

Fermentation supports the growth of your microbiome in your body (the gut garden) that will break down and digest nutrients so they can be absorbed in your body, converting to energy.

The greater your microbiome activity in your gut the more energy and stronger your immune system.  As your body will spend less activity digesting with a fully functional gut bacteria it can use the energy fighting potential illness and viruses.

We naturally are big advocates of fermented products.  Growing up in Europe we had exposure to fermented foods and the benefits therein, however here in North America we aren’t so accustomed to it’s benefits and uses.

Fermentation is a metabolic process that produces chemical changes in organic substrates through the action of enzymes. It is the extraction of energy from carbohydrates in the absence of respiration.  During this fermentation process in Kombucha we see the breakdown of sugars reacting with the Tanins in the Tea and the SCOBY (Symbiotic Culture of Bacteria and Yeast)to release good bacteria, probiotics and create healthy acids that create alkaline crystals in your body.

THE LOSS OF BACTERIA

Our world is losing more bacteria in the earth that we inhabit.  This has arisen through many different reasons, from increased farming due to increased demand for food to not letting the leaves from trees settle on our yards.  There are so many reasons, but we are removing bacteria from the soil and not replenishing it.

As this happens we are destroying the bacteria in our bodies.  From antibiotics to alcohol hand santizers.  By looking to protect our bodies we were actually destroying it.  While we should have been looking to increase our immune system we concentrated on destroying the viruses.

Due to this the introduction of bacteria in our bodies and in our earth is of vital importance to our future health.  Making sure that our kids play in dirt and introduce that bacteria at a young age will only help them later in life.  Before that though, we need to introduce the bacteria back into our soil.  From the Earth back to Earth.
